Annette has almost 25 years’ experience in work health and safety, having started her career as WHS advisor, then Manager, for mineral processing plants in regional WA.

Her career has included work in WHS roles for heavy manufacturing, oil and gas, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) businesses, government bodies, and the banking and finance sector.

Annette has worked in large and complex multi-site and multi-state organisations to advance their health and safety outcomes as well as small to medium-sized business owners across all industries.

Effective injury management programs result in improved recovery experiences for injured workers and reduced claims costs (and premiums) for businesses.

Her  experience in claims management and return to work means she can assist you to develop and implement an injury management program that delivers proactive and timely claims management and return to work support to benefit both the worker and the organisation.

Understanding your obligations and having a clear and manageable plan for meeting those obligations can help your business to improve its WHS outcomes – not only reducing injury and ill health of workers, but also improving business productivity, work culture and worker morale.

If you are well down the path of WHS compliance and looking to take your safety culture to the next stage, she can help with that too! She is an expert at changing compliance-driven organisations (a great start) to engaged, dynamic leaders in safety.

Annette can work with you to:

  • Develop and implement WHS policy, procedures and management systems
  • Develop WHS strategic plans for continuous improvements and outcomes
  • Manage complex WHS initiatives such as health and wellbeing programs, health monitoring and surveillance, flu vaccination programs and other large-scale risk reduction programs
  • Conduct hazard identification and risk assessment activities
  • Undertake manual handling and ergonomic assessments and resulting risk reduction programs
  • Audit and improve WHS management systems
  • Review and improve workers’ compensation and return to work process
  • Develop and facilitate WHS staff training programs
  • Develop and facilitate WHS supervisor/manager training programs
  • Assist in accident/incident investigations

Her role is to help you understand your responsibilities and risks, and to provide practical ways to improve WHS in your business, no matter your position on the safety journey.
