The Victorian Defence Industry Scholarships Program is 12-month pilot program, funded by the Defence Science Institute, with the aim of providing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) university students with an opportunity to undertake an internship with companies that are active in the defence industry supply chain.
Students must be in their final year of their degree, be an Australian citizen, be enrolled at a Victorian university. Each student will benefit from a $4,500 scholarship, if they are selected to participate in the pilot program. The program seeks to improve skills development and retention in Victoria for the defence industry.
